Q&A: How to stop Puppy and kitten to stop play fightting? I’m Afraid one of them is going to get hurt?

Question by : How to stop Puppy and kitten to stop play fightting? I’m Afraid one of them is going to get hurt?
My puppy and kitten are always play fighting. The puppy will try and bite the cat(not hurting the cat) and the kitten will scratch the puppy at the face. I know its just playing but I’m afraid one of the will get hurt.

let them alone.

if one of them gets hurt they will learn to play more carefully and/or not do it again.

that is how animals learn.

    Even if you’re worried that they may get hurt… it’s best to let them learn on their own that if they play too roughly, they’ll be hurt.
    And if they were hurt, it would barely be minor injuries… they probably wouldn’t even be called injuries.

  2. Jason says:

    They won’t get hurt. Theres absolutely zero signs in the whole world that animals get injured by play fighting. Dont worry about it. My puppy play fights too

  3. Cherlyn L says:

    seperate them

  4. Eno says:

    leave them to it, they will learn the boundaries.
    If it is getting beyond play fight then separate them.

  5. Storm says:

    as part of becoming mature a dogs and cats, they need to play fight so that they are able to determine the difference between a playful bit and a “im trying to hurt you bit”…

    so leave them be, like a cild if it gets too dangereous, then maintain it, but otherwise, just leave it…
